- Never apply side pressure to the side of a cut-off wheel.
- Do not twist in the cut or cause the wheel to bind.
- Never exceed the speed marked on the wheel.
- Always wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the job being done.
Note: Further information on safety procedures can be acquired by calling or writing Norton or the American National Standards Institute.
Step 1
Before you begin any cutting or grinding project, make sure you have proper ventilation and that any areas you do not want dust/debris to go on are properly covered or removed from the working area. Make sure you have the proper safety items. You should always wear a disposable dust mask, eye protection and hearing protection .
Step 2
To begin cutting with a right angle grinder tool make sure to run the machine at the highest possible speed. However, do not exceed wheel speed marked on the wheel, this will cause damage to both your tool and the wheel as well as possible damage to the workpeice.
Step 3
Begin by slowly bringing the blade to the workpeice. Let the blade do the work, don’t force or jam the blade into workpiece. Finish cutting by moving the tool through the workpiece for the desired effect. Be carefull not to touch the tool or the workpeice because they may still be hot.
